The 10-Point Readiness Framework

1. Technical Landscape Assessment

Map your current SAP landscape — ECC version, enhancement packages, add-ons, connected systems, and infrastructure. Identify technical conflicts and prerequisites for S/4HANA.

2. Custom Code Analysis

Using SAP's Custom Code Migration Worklist tool (CCMW) and SAVIC's proprietary analyzers, we assess your custom ABAP code volume, complexity, and S/4HANA compatibility. This is often the most time-consuming readiness activity.

3. Data Quality Assessment

S/4HANA's simplified data model (especially the Universal Journal in Finance) requires clean, consistent master data. We assess vendor master, customer master, material master, and financial data quality before migration.

Review existing SAP authorization concepts. S/4HANA introduces new authorization objects (e.g., for Fiori) that require a redesigned security model for most enterprises.

8. Change Management Readiness

Assess organizational readiness for change — stakeholder alignment, training capacity, communication channels, and executive sponsorship strength.

9. Project Governance

Evaluate your organization's project management capability, resource availability, and governance structures for a major SAP transformation.

10. Partner & Resource Readiness

Assess internal SAP expertise, external partner capabilities, and resource availability throughout the project timeline.

Readiness Scoring and Risk Matrix

Each dimension is scored on a 1–5 scale, generating an overall readiness score. SAVIC uses this score to:
